Age Calculator
Find your exact age from your date of birth — in years, months, days, and more.
Fill in the fields above to see your result instantly.
This age calculator works out exactly how old you are from your date of birth — counting whole calendar years, then the leftover months, then the remaining days, the way a calendar really works rather than by subtracting years. Set the “Calculate age on” date to any day (it defaults to today) to find your age on a past or future date, and switch the output to total months, weeks, days, or hours. Everything runs in your browser, so the dates you enter are never uploaded or stored.

Frequently asked questions
How does the age calculator work?
It counts the whole years between your birth date and the target date, then the remaining whole months, then the leftover days, borrowing the correct length of each month (including February in leap years). That gives an exact years-months-days age instead of a rounded number.
Can I calculate my age on a future or past date?
Yes. Change the “Calculate age on” field to any date. Set it in the future to see how old you'll be then, or in the past to see how old you were on that day.
Why is my age in months not simply my age in years times twelve?
Total months counts every completed month you've lived, including the months in your current, incomplete year. It equals your full years × 12 plus the extra whole months since your last birthday.
Does it account for leap years?
Yes. When the day count borrows from a previous month it uses that month's real length, so ages spanning a February 29th stay accurate.
Is my date of birth stored anywhere?
No. The calculation happens entirely in your browser; nothing is sent to a server or saved.
